“It’s not about the dollars”
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs breaks down what our needs are as human beings.
Physiological needs: These are the basic biological needs that must be met for survival, such as food, water, and shelter.
Safety needs: Once the physiological needs are met, individuals will seek safety and security, including physical safety, financial security, and stability.
Love and belonging needs: After safety needs are met, individuals will seek to form and maintain relationships, including family, friends, and romantic partners.
Esteem needs: Once the needs for love and belonging are met, individuals will seek to build self-esteem and to be respected by others.
Self-actualization needs: At the highest level, individuals will seek to reach their full potential and to achieve their goals and aspirations.
